Prior to joining Imagine Her, Halima worked with the Private Education Development Network as the Project Coordinator for the Kupaa Project whose focus was financial inclusion in schools. While at PEDN, Halima coordinated the project pilot study from the inception phase to planning and management which led to the successful onboarding of 140 schools in 7 districts across Uganda. Halima also worked with Educate! Uganda as an enumerator and participated in the Baseline study of Educate! scholars and this role prepared her to take on the Monitoring and Evaluation officer role at Educate! Uganda where she managed high-quality data on the programs’ indicators, produced high-quality weekly and termly reports and offered training needs of field staff on M&E aspects, and took oversight of tools development.

She later went on to become a Monitoring and Evaluation coordinator and she ensured organizational M&E technology platforms were functional and contributed to the program expansion in South and Western Uganda by producing high-quality weekly recruitment reports which informed strategic programs decision making. Halima also worked with IPA as a field officer and worked on two projects covering Eastern Uganda whose focus was Elections, and the land tenure system for both women and men. Halima also worked with Lida Africa as a field team leader on a domestic Violence project where she offered direction and supervision of data enumerators on survey implementation procedures and methodologies. Based on this prior experience, at Imagine Her Halima focuses on offers strategic leadership and direction on M&E system development, design of M&E results program tools, data management, and reporting to inform program design, implementation, learning, and Evaluation.

Halima is pursuing her post-graduate Diploma in Monitoring & Evaluation at Uganda Management Institute and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management Sciences from Kyambogo University.
