Social Enterprise & Innovation Incubator

We invest in young women and youth as builders of transformative solutions to the most pressing problems of today and tomorrow (Climate Change, Food Security, Health & Education Disparities). We do this through the provision of practical tools and resources necessary to drive a paradigm shift geared towards the creation of sustainable and desired solutions. We achieve this through

Design Thinking  & Adaptive Leadership Training: Our model is designed as 3 months accelerated MBA-style training program that empowers women and youth to develop an idea, build a model, and test it using design thinking methodology and principles of adaptive leadership.  

Tailored Mentorship: Key to the success of our scholars’ social ventures, they receive a life-long opportunity of mentorship and tailored support from business experts as a ticket to sustain their venture operations and grow their business expertise. 

Lean Start-Up Financing; On commencement, our scholars receive a revolving lean start-up loan to implement their idea. These are usually group-based or individual payable within a period of 3 months after the business takeoff.

Social Venture-Business Accelerator

Our Business Accelerator works to support already running social ventures that are struggling to meet the needs of their service/product users and fulfill their value propositions. We have observed beyond COVID, so many social impact start-ups are struggling to keep their doors open. Our solution If we could identify and nurture these social entrepreneurs, not only would we create a pool of change agents but build on viable support systems for young social entrepreneurs, ensure that products and services produced are matching the needs of the individuals in the community. We believe that supporting visionary leaders builds strong and stable social enterprises creates a more cohesive ecosystem for young social entrepreneurs to be successful.

4 weeks of in-class sessions using design thinking to support the entrepreneurs understand iterate and design solutions tailored to the needs they are serving.


Coaching & Mentorship:
Individualized coaching and mentoring to address social enterprises and leadership needs

Financing: Seed-funding in for of low-interest loans

Becoming

Becoming, an all-year-round program that creates opportunities for young girls to develop their potential in leadership and realization of their sexual and reproductive rights at a tender age. The program goes beyond developing the leadership skills of young girls through community service projects and adaptive leadership but improves access to sexual and reproductive health information and services and supports the young girls’ academic and learning needs through experiential and digital learning opportunities delivered through a design thinking curriculum and mentorship.
